Hi! I’m Jo Rathbun. I began my journey here at a very early age with my Grandmother introduced me to Storytelling. She would come to my elementary classrooms and tell the class stories from children’s books! Some of her favorites were “The Elephant’s Child” by Rudyard Kipling and “The Five Chinese Brothers” by Claire Huchet Bishop. Listening to her voice the characters caught my attention when most everything else did not. I stepped onto the stage for the first time at age 7, and I was hooked. Come college, I pursued my B.A. in Technical Theatre, but I was still apart of the Improv group and then was part of the University’s Theatre of The Air! This was a unique experience for me as it was a series of Radio Dramas performed and recorded with a live audience!

I stumbled on my journey though, as my Grandmother passed away just before I graduated. She had been beyond excited that someone of her blood was going to be a Theatre graduate. For a long time after, I just couldn’t get the passion reignited and so passed into the world of Retail. But, as those who’ve been there, that is just an exaggerated stage. I slowly started feeling the desire to return to my artistry and have now begun using my Voice to help others bring their vision to life.
